Although the HDMI standard has already become a permanent fixture in our devices, many homes still have receivers with a VGA port. There's no point in forcing a replacement for a TV or projector if the current one still works, right? However, it would be nice to be able to connect slightly newer equipment to them without losing image quality. The solution to this problem is an accessory that will allow the signal to be sent from the HDMI connector to a device with a VGA port (and only in that direction).
